Take Action Project

For my take action project I decided to volunteer with the YWCA of Flint. I was inspired to work here because of what my grandmother does in her spare time. She works with victims of sexual assault and makes them feel more safe and secure after the trauma. I know that there is a safe house at the YWCA for women who are seeking solace after being involved in an abusive relationship. I admire the work the YWCA does, providing a safe environment for women and children. I currently have not volunteered yet, but I am planning to this week. I am looking forward to meeting everyone there. I have done a few interviews and from what I learned there is always space for more volunteers and for more donations. I hope I can help and make a difference, I can't wait to get started!
