Take Action Project Progress

I am doing my take action project through a church in Grand Blanc.They have a giving tree every year where you can place hats and gloves to go to women and children that can’t afford these items. The church works with a program called “Shelter of Flint” where there is an emergency shelter. This emergency shelter is used for homeless single women and single parents with children. The winter is cold but it’s even colder for the homeless. The collection of hats and gloves used to just go as far as the church but I wanted to take it further. The church has a childcare center but they have never been involved in this program. I decided to put myself in charge of spreading the word on this giving tree. So far I have made flyers that I passed out to every family explaining this program, I sent out e-mails to my whole e-mail list and asked them to forward it, and I’ve posted it on social networks through the church and childcare center. I have put in well over four hours already but I am not even close to being done!
