Dot Day

National Dot Day

In the beginning of the “Dot Day” story Vashti doubted herself and her ability to do things that the other students were doing. I think everyone can relate to this, whether it’s with art, education, or a dilemma you have in your personal life. You see other people doing things and you think that there is no way that you can do the same thing. The important thing to realize is that you don’t have to things like everyone else, and if that were how the world worked than this would be a very boring world. I think that reading this story to a classroom is a very good idea, and that every student can take something valuable from this. It is inspiring, and refreshing to know that Vashti had a supporter (her teacher) and then passed the support to someone else at the end of the story.

I think that this story relates to our class because everyone will read a story and think of it in a different way. It is important to share your own opinions, because it may inspire someone else in a different way, which is what the dot represents.
